Content

The objective of this course is to offer the exchange students coming to Buenos Aires the possibility to improve their Spanish level in order to be able to follow classes in their respective schools or universities. To fully benefit from the advantages of an exchange term abroad it is recommended for students to speak the language and to learn about the local social, economic and political life, too. Our intensive language preparation course in Spanish for exchange students was developed to meet these requirements. Most of the exchange students have some basic Spanish knowledge, but have neither practised speaking Spanish for a long time…nor are they used to speaking the local “rioplatense” Spanish. That is why we offer them this intensive course. The two week long program enables exchange students to get up to speed with their verbal and written expressions and listening comprehension. (One of the owners of the Academia knows very well how it feels to be an exchange student and what their special needs are, for having been one himself). The course also includes an introduction to the Argentine lifestyle and a cultural, social, economic and political panorama of today’s Argentina. According to availability, we invite specialist researchers on each theme.

All our courses include the following:

  • Teaching materials (study books)
  • Level test, oral and written, before starting
  • Optional exams at the end of each level and at the end of your stay
  • Certificate including the amount of hours and level attained (plus grade if you passed the exam)
  • Dictionary
  • Two extracurricular activities per week (guided tours, museum visits, tango, asado dinners, excursions, etc.)
  • Workshops, weekly or bi-weekly: Phonetics, Conversation, Narration, Audio
  • Weekly tutorials after class
  • Internet access through PCs at the Academia and wifi
  • Hot and cold drinks
  • Access to library and DVDs for further study
  • Movie showings and discussions usually once a week
  • Help in organizing trips around Argentina and Latin America
  • 24 hour hotline in Spanish, English, French and German
