Academia Buenos AiresInstituto Cervantes

Omar Hisham, Egypt

I first found out about Academia over the internet and had no idea what to expect. I liked that it was situated in Microcentro, the heart of the city, making it easily accessible and close to everything. I also appreciated Sylvia’s (sic!) help in confirming my hostel’s reservation, offering me a ride from the airport and by giving me contacts in Buenos Aires before I even arrive thus making me settle in more easily. I stayed there for two months with the same teacher, Carolina Caputto, who I have to admit, is an amazing and caring person. From day one, she noted my weak points and started working on them in a very lively manner. I never felt that I was constricted in a « classroom » atmosphere; it was more of an outing.  We had the freedom to do whatever we like, from going to the bathroom without taking permission, to eating medialunas; we always learned in a fun environment. I made wonderful friends from all over the world with and this friendship extended outside of classroom. I even had one of them visit me here in Egypt and I, too, plan to visit them one day. The school also holds a lot of interesting extra-curricular activities such as movie nights, city tours and specialized workshops. The school definitely added something extra special to an already amazing and enriching experience. I would recommend this school to ANYONE without second thoughts. I would go again if I ever get the opportunity.
